OpenAI Signals Advertising Push With New Ads Landing Page

OpenAI launched a new landing page for ads, making one thing clear: The company is getting serious about advertising.
There’s been speculation for months about what ads inside ChatGPT could look like, but putting up a live ads page changes the conversation. It signals that OpenAI is actively preparing for a future where brands have a place inside its ecosystem.
As ChatGPT becomes a bigger part of how people search, research, and discover products, advertising feels less like a possibility and more like the next step.

Google’s AI Max Fuels Search Spend Surge as CPCs Climb
A year after launching AI Max for Search, Google is seeing advertisers spend more as AI-driven search campaigns become the norm. Media buyers told Digiday that some brands increased search budgets by up to 15%, while cost-per-click rates rose between 10% and 25% in some cases. Agencies say AI Max has become popular because it helps brands capture more conversational and intent-based searches without relying as heavily on manual keyword targeting. At the same time, marketers are investing more in paid search as Google’s AI Overviews reduce organic website traffic opportunities.
The shift is also changing how agencies work, with teams spending less time building keyword lists and ad copy and more time managing automated campaign performance.
