Marketecture Media is proud to announce the acquisition and re-launch of Adland.tv, one of the internet’s most beloved creative archives. With over 80,000 ads spanning from the 1970s to today, including the world’s largest collection of Super Bowl commercials, AdLand is once again open to inspire, educate, and entertain. |
If you’ve ever worked in advertising, you probably know AdLand. For two decades it served as the go-to place to discover the best, worst, and weirdest advertising from around the globe. It shut down earlier this year, and the industry felt the loss. But we at Marketecture couldn’t sit idly while that history was lost.
“When I heard AdLand had shut down, I realized we couldn’t let this incredible resource disappear,”
Originally created by Åsk Wäppling in the ’90s, AdLand was one of the earliest global repositories for commercials. Åsk built it as a passion project and it turned into a staple for creatives around the world.
I never imagined it would outlive the Absolut campaign. It’s amazing to know AdLand impacted so many creatives. I’m thrilled to see it in good hands and ready for the next chapter.
AdLand will continue to be free to browse, and creative professionals and agencies are still encouraged to submit new work. There will be a small fee for each new submission — helping preserve the archive and keep it thriving for the next generation of ad nerds.
